A life traced
in sound.

Ten quiet piano pieces. Ten stages of a life.
Played with feeling on a felt piano.

The album

Lebenslinien

“Lebenslinien” is MalTone’s debut album. Ten quiet piano pieces explore life not as a straight path, but as a web of new beginnings, encounters, closeness, loss, solitude and hope.

The music does not try to explain. It leaves room for personal images, memories and thoughts.

About MalTone

Music that leaves room.

MalTone has played the piano since the age of ten and has been active in various music projects over the years. Today he writes quiet, emotional neoclassical and soft piano music on the felt piano.

His pieces grow from moods, memories and moments for which words often feel too definite. From northern Germany, close to the Baltic Sea, he creates a reduced sound world in which melody and silence have equal space.

His track “Leben” has reached more than 54,000 streams and appears in numerous international playlists.
